New Start In New York - Suzie Bangle

Suzie is just one of many of our employees who has followed her dreams and been very successful throughout her journey with Barrington James! Suzie started out in our Singapore office then took a temporary stop in our London Gatwick Head Quarters, only to end up in her dream destination, New York City. If you didn’t catch part 1 take a look further down our profile!   What influenced you to relocate again and this time to New York? New York was always the plan for me. When I decided to join Barrington James in Singapore, one of the factors that drew me in was that they have Global offices, one being New York. I first visited New York in 2015 and loved it and decided that I wanted to live there one day. With covid, lots of things changed in Singapore and it felt like the right time to make the move.   How was the build up to the move this time? A little bit more complex due to covid but still quite seamless! I decided to spend some time in the UK with our UKUS team whilst waiting for my visa. It was great to spend time at the Head Quarters and a really enjoyable few months that went so quickly, it didn’t really feel like I was “waiting”.   What are you most excited about? I’m not sure I can pinpoint just one thing! I’m excited to explore the city, the food and get settled with my own apartment. I am also excited to have the opportunity to see many more of my clients and candidates in person.   What opportunities does relocating offer to your career? I think having international experience is really valuable for understanding different cultures and people, but also for networking.
