Over the past five years, I’ve moved from Resourcer to Team Sales Manager, thanks to incredible mentors at Barrington James. Their guidance has been invaluable, especially during times of growth and challenge. Breaking the record for the highest billed month and winning Sales Person of The Year was a huge accomplishment, marking the consistency and dedication I’ve built with my clients over time. For anyone inspired to push boundaries, I’d say take it step-by-step, improve just a bit every day, and stay focused on the bigger picture. This is just the beginning, and I’m beyond excited for what lies ahead!
My journey at Barrington James has been incredible. I worked with clients across Asia, spent time at our London Gatwick HQ, and finally made it to my dream destination: New York City. Winning Sales Person of the Year last year was a huge achievement and truly rewarding after years of hard work and dedication. New York was always the goal. My first visit in 2015 left a lasting impression, and knowing Barrington James had a New York office made joining the team an easy decision. Although moving during COVID added complexity, the support from Barrington James made everything seamless.
Since joining Barrington James in 2017 as a Senior Consultant, I’ve grown from leading the APAC Medical Affairs search desk to spearheading Board & Executive Partners as the Managing Partner, APAC Retained Search. Along the way, I’ve broken Singapore, APAC and Global records, rebuilt businesses, and led high-impact executive searches across the region. None of this would have been possible without the fast-paced, high-growth environment at Barrington James—where ambition and dedication is rewarded, while careers are built according to your fit. I have been at Barrington James for the past 4 years, moving from Consultant to Team Sales Manager within my first 2 and a half years. I joined with no prior recruitment experience but the training programme here at Barrington James along with guidance from my Director, enabled me to progress very fast within the company. I am so grateful to work within one of, if not the best markets in Artificial Intelligence and I am lucky enough to work with some of the most innovative companies across Europe who are at the forefront of technology! Taking the leap into recruitment isn't easy and it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and patience but with the platform that Barrington James provides, you couldn't be in a better place to succeed. I am so excited for what's to come for the Essex office as we grow and expand, this really is just the start!
I joined Barrington James and the UKUS team in August 2019, when we were just a small team of eight consultants in a loft corner in Horley. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of watching and driving our team’s growth to 30 people, moving us to our own dedicated sales floor, breaking company records, and leading in office performance. Guiding consultants from the start of their careers to managing their own teams has been deeply rewarding. I’m proud to see the UKUS team grow and succeed, not just in the UK but in other global offices too.
When I first joined Barrington James as an entry-level Recruitment Consultant in the European Contract Recruitment division, I could never have anticipated just how transformative my journey here would be. Seven years on, I am incredibly proud to step into the role of Director. It's been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and remarkable opportunities to develop not only my career but also our division into a vital part of Barrington James' global operations. Each promotion and the recognition as a global top-biller have been rewarding milestones, underscoring the potential and support for personal and professional development that Barrington James consistently offers.
I joined Barrington James as the only “externally hired” manager nearly 2 years ago. I was immediately amazed by the work ethic, market knowledge and the ability of my peers. My journey started as “Launch Manager” where I would on-board any new/junior consultants as they started their BJ career. Now I lead a unit of experienced consultants within a variety of markets. I won Office MVP for 2024 and was delighted to see that in 3 consecutive months, “Salesperson of the month” award was given to graduates of our “Launch” program I had the privilege of on-boarding. All be it my time here is small compared to other business leaders, I have seen first-hand how BJ develop talent into market experts who are dedicated to delivering talent to their clients. I can’t wait to see what the company achieves in the future & I’m privileged to be a part of it
